so whats the deal with this is it out yet if so how can i get the download? if not when and will the effect moble GPUs like the 980M

I believe it's part of windows 10

Its only for windows 10.

Similar to DirectX 10 only being for Vista, oh wait, I have it running under XP. As soon as I get a chance I'm going to see if DirectX 12 will install under Windows 7, and if it does, Win 7 might be a good gaming OS for a while yet.

I know that's what has been said officially, but just look at XP and DirectX 10.
