What adapter is this?

I think it would be. Although most cases of not all have spaces for SSDs.

Hi, I am looking at this SSD for a friend. The description if this says it comes with an "adapter". What adapter is this? I'm assuming its a 2.5 inch to 3.5 inch adapter but I'd like to make sure.

There's no 'adapter' for 2.5" to 3.5" :P

An SSD is 2.5" so doesn't fit in 3.5" bays, so there's brackets which you can put the SSD in and you can put that in a 3.5" spot.

You use the same sort of wires for an SSD that you would use for an HDD.

SATA and SATA power (don't think the last one is called that).

By the way, I believe these kingston SSD's are not that good. Take a look at Crucial or Samsung's SSD's

This is a prebuilt system from 2009, so it doesn't have a 2.5 inch bay

By adapter, I meant bracket. Also, I'm just looking for something inexpensive. This ssd will be on a SATA II so pretty much any ssd will saturate it.

just shove it behind the side panel. It's an SSD man. It'll be fine.
