No flame war please.

All the shit posts today...

Anyway, between those two if you're just buying the cpu with no gpu at all the A10 wins, its graphics cores are far superior to anything intel has, if you're buying a stand alone gpu, then the 4590 wins, far stronger cpu cores than the A10

Oh and a tip. If you don't want people to HATE you on the forums, or get your threads deleted/locked try not naming it something so, *Volatile*

the i5 is better for gaming with a dedicated GPU, since the AMD CPU is meant to be an APU (and with the i5 you actually have an upgrade path)

which brand processor is best ?

like

AMD Kaveri A10-7700K APU With Radeon™ R7 Graphics

                                                                                            VS

                   Intel 4590 3.3GHz Core i5

the i5. but the title is misleading lol. could cause a lot of flame wars.

the i5 has a better single core performance thjan the apu. but afaik, the integrated graphics on the apu is better than the i5's

AMD as far as price to performance.

Intel as no-questions better performance.

All the shit posts today...

Did you even read the post? He asked which CPU was 'better' (which should have been explained better..) and just titled it..

Maybe a little too provocative

which brand processor is best ?

Use Anantech CPU bench to get comparisons. Compare MANY different CPU's in various programs.

Even if yours are not listed, there are the ones above and below a single step which you can collaborate your answers from..

http://www.anandtech.com/bench/product/1200?vs=1198

It's PER-CORE performance which matters the most.

So when a program does NOT use all cores, you'd want each core to be the fastest possible.

Intel Wins in that regard for performance per core, and gaming results are better on Intel than AMD.

When maxing out details and your GPU bound (100% GPU usage) then you won't see much difference.

In CPU heavier titles, there may be more of a difference for sure... esp 'Minimum framerates' which is the MOST important for visual smoothness.

If your chasing up to 60fps, either will no doubt be fine for most tasks...

As stated, Intel with a seperate GPU, is the clear winner.

If your using the onboard graphics, the 7700K is the winner...

TBH - I'd go Intel and still put a cheap GPU in place until you got a faster GPU.

/All these responses of 'i5 ftw' and no reasons from these people why THEY would choose it.

Which would help the OP understand more.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

Eh, i tend to find myself editing posts i mate a LOT after i post em. like, i edited that post like 5 times after i posted it. Anyway yea, i will admit this, I read the title, and the first sentence saying "which brand has the better processor"  and just posted that out of spite. then after reading for 5 seconds longer i realized he had a legitimate question behind the horrible thread title and opening sentence; so I edited my post to make it relevant.

I edit my posts. Usually it's to add on, or to correct something minor. Completely changing only happens in certain situations.

I meant to add on also, I never completely change it., although I may reword some of it also.

Anyway ONtopic - OP - Many posts already you can read,.. most of us are probably awaiting your next post before adding more.
