Sup sup guys,i suddenly had this idea today, why shouldn't we have a LTT followers tournament for Dota 2,LOL,CS:GO and etc.Its just for us,and the prize pool would be donated by us.But for me,the prize pool isn't anything, just that i get to interact with my bros.So what do you guys think? hope to hear your thoughts and opinions on this, thx in advance :)

I've also been thinking about this^^

Specifically chivalry or jedi academy when i get my fiber connection.

Maybe with teamspeak and streaming it so we can save the archive for those that missed it

A money poll probably isn't a good idea, since people really care about money. If money was involved, I could see it turning bad rather quickly.

The biggest issue I see, is that we are spread all across the world. The Europeans wouldn't be to happy playing on an American server, and vice versa.

But I would be interested in a casuel tournament. And throw Unreal Tournament in there aswell.

That's a good question. I have no experience with arranging tournaments over the internet. i have only done it for LAN parties.

So I'm just going to be brainstorming here.

There should probably be an event every week or every other week. It should be done during the weekend, since that is when most people are off school and work.

The time is going to be an issue. The ideal time for an Australian, is not the ideal time for a European, etc.

In some games, serves could be a problem, since we would either have to invade an empty server, or create our own.

As for the games, it should be decided if the game is played as a teambased tournament, or if it's 1 v. 1.

The games played could be based on community votes, and/or a theme of the month. I.E. one month it's MOBAs like LoL and DOTA 2, the next month it's area shooters like UT and Rise of the Triads.

For how people would go about joining the tounament, I have no idea. Piquing people's interest is very hard. Usually they prefere to play with the people they already know.

Thats actually very well planned,we would need to reach out to more people first though and get permission fro linus

A permission would not be needed, if it was done unofficially. If it has no ties to LMG, there is no need to get them involved.

It was to be official, there would be much more than a permission involved. There would probably be a need for moderators aswell.

Of course I can't speak on behalf of LMG, but that's how I think it would be.

Getting people to join is a the first (and possiblly biggest) obstacle in planning this.

Maybe if you start off with free-to-play games, people would be more interested in joining, since it wouldn't require them to buy anything.

Try starting off with games like LoL, DOTA 2, Team Fortress 2, Blacklight Retibution etc.

I still think we should do an LTT LAN in Canada, hosted by LMG.

Do an all day BF4 LAN, 32v32, one team lead by Luke, the other by Linus. Not sure what we'd play though, I'm partial to rush or conquest, some prefer TDM.
