gtx 970

Hey guys!

So I've been building my system for a while and I already have ideas as to what graphics card I want but, I want to see what you people recommend for me.

 

My system so far contains

 

i7-4770k

16GBs of hyper x fury ram

asrock z87 extreme4 mobo

a 750W power supply

and an n600 cooler master case...

 

Price isn't really a problem just as long as I get something worth the money but, cheaper is better...

I might also be interested in an sli/crossfire setup.

Things I'll be using it for include,

Gaming, Adobe Photoshop, after effects and premiere pro, 3DSmax, Kinect 3D scanning and a Head mounted display.

Oh yeah and DaVinci Resolve!

 

I will also be running 3 monitors.

Best value would be the 290X or GTX 970. 

 

For three monitors, you'd be wanting to look at the 980 or 2x 970 (if you're gaming on them in surround)

If you have to buy now i would get a few 8GB 290x's.

Unless you can wait for the 300 series.

Nvidia is to Dr Dre Beets as AMD is to KFC.

One makes you broke, the other you can get more of and have a midnight snack from the fridge when hungry again. Once you go Nvidia, you go broked, turn into an Elitist, or get the incorrect amount of VRAM.

GTX 980 is probably best for you, but the GTX 970 and R9 290X are more 'bang for buck'

But seriously, I wonder how the titan x would fare in your set up against say dual 980s?  The price of the x is cheaper no?

well a titan x with a mild oc can beat dual watercooled 780's that are overclocked as far as they will go with a hacked bios.... go to jayztwocents youtube channel he did a review and said that
