Yeah, plus it's a theoretical 8 core...

No it's not, it has 8 physical integer cores.

Phoahahafafa, those scores are lame XD

Calling other people's work lame is not appreciated, If you keep making biased comments we won't be able to take you seriously at all.

How would they outperform a 4770k, when that scores are close to a 2500k? Makes no sense, plus that it's fair to compare them to a 4770k that can hit 4.5-4.6,

In applications that actually use all 8 cores, the FX 8350 is already faster than the 4770K.

curious that the FX-9590 is about 2.6x the cost of the FX-9370, and the latter probably has the same potential as the former. i'll admit i tend to root for AMD on a lot of things, but seriously AMD; wtf are you smoking?

my opinion: as enticing as getting the FX-9370 is, i'm still going to wait for Steamroller and plan my future upgrade from there. hopefully, a new chipset will finally come out as well.

So it performs well but still not as good as Intel Xeons by quite a bit. I hope AMD brings out a low power consumption server CPU that performs better then any of Intel's Xeons.

Either AMD is smoking some really good stuff, or these CPUs are going to perform beyond everyone's expectations.

Having a read of that 1.5volts as standard, maybe I should give mine some more voltage if it can and let it make it run 5GHz all the time. I can keep it cool, though vrms get hot.

Watch the 9590 hit 10ghz ^_^ xD nah that's too far but I'm quite confident it'll hit 6 maybe 6.5ghz if you're lucky on water, WATCH, I said it :p and the 9370 will hit 5 maybe 5.5ghz

Well I have no idea is it is true byt than link syas the 9590 is stock 5ghz@1.5 volts, I dont think it will go much higher.

Remember , the FX 8320 is clocked @ 3.5 Ghz @ 1.38v stock, I got mine to 4.4Ghz @ 1.3v .

So stock voltage pretty much means nothing.

Oh my, i believed that AMD will not do such a bad move !

Dear AMD if you think that 630$ more is "good deal" for 800 Mhz extra on CPU you need "shrink" and you need it fast :P !

Everyone that thinks new CPU`s will be considerably faster lives in illusion it`s Vishera on same 32nm with crazy high TDP.

Even the hardcore/die hard fans of AMD are much better of with FX8350+AIO Liquid cooling+530$ (still in their pocket) combo !!!!

It's a similar story to the 3930K vs the 3970X, extreme processors are for breaking records.

Yeah i know that, but askin price is on a ridiculous side.....what AMD needed is lightning fast CPU with considerably lower price point than Intel counterpart (something like 8350).

This way i seriously doubt they will be much faster then some Intel CPU`s with moderate OC (at a hefty price margin).

AMD had last chance to undermine Intel and bring best bang for the buck CPU, now they lost even that.....and for what to be called a company who broke 5Ghz, i bet Intel board of directors is laughing like mad now. For years they have been selling "recycled" CPU generations with no real improvement pickin` up billions of dollars in process and all that was possible because AMD is barelly "real" competition, and when they try to do something like this they end up looking like clowns :P !

Now I have to decide whether to buy the 9590 or wait for the steam roller chips to be released...

Phoahahafafa, those scores are lame XD i get 8.10 on the 2500k quad core XD. Regarding the cooling, it very much depends, it's not that easy, and when you say 40c, you mean idle right?

Morfy, I implore you to venture off and design a better CPU on your own then. Lets see what you can cook up ;) /sarcasm

so just wait for steam roller? I agree just hoping it is released around October like Piledriver was.

Lol, basically what this means is that an 8350 cpu that you would normally get from "the silicon lottery" that is capable of hitting 5 GHz would be cherry picked to become a 9590 or 9370 cpu meaning that if you buy a 8350 the likeliness of hitting 4.7+ GHz is even much less than it was before since all the good ones are gone.
