7900xt or xtx

Hello, I’m upgrading my current computer and the final component that I’m looking to get is my graphics card and so I’m wondering should I get the 7900 XT or XTX right now for me and where I’m at the 7900 XT is $701 and the XTX is $915. What do you guys think is the better option?

Depends really on what resolution you plan on playing at. At 1080p, the XTX is around 11% faster on average compared to the XT. Once you get into higher resolutions, like 1440p and 4K: the XTX is closer to 14-18% faster on average compared to the XT. 

 

The question you have to ask yourself then, is if 31% increase in price is worth 11-18% increase in performance.

Oh yea I play at 1440p and maybe 4k soon I didn’t realize the performance increase was that low

If you plan on playing at 4K soon, you have more incentive to spend the money on the faster card. But if you stay on 1440p, probably not really worth it.
