I'm looking for a good 32" 2560 x 1440 Monitor fit for gaming, Any suggestions?

jackc45

So i'm looking for a big 32" monitor but I don't know the first place to look, I don't know what is good or bad so I need some guidance.

  • I need something that is fit for gaming, movies and general PC stuff.
  • Something under £1000
  • Doesn't have to exactly look good but I guess looks would be a plus.
  • Picture quality is an absolute must of course.
  • Good response time
  • LCD (better for gaming right?)

Any suggestions for this guy in need?

I haven't seen any 32 inch 1440P monitors. I think the largest size you can get is 27 inch, AFAIK.

The problem here is my current monitor is a 38" 1360x768 TV so 32" is already quite small comparatively.

what a horrible resolution, you might feel different with a 27" high resolution screen how close do you sit?

A few feet away, pretty close, maybe too close.

I know 1360x768 is horrendous, I have that res on one of my 15.6 laptops and its 'Ehh' Compared to 1440P or even 1080p/1200p

Its possible you find it small because at that resolution you have NO screen space and a tiny field of view in games

having 1440p its like having 4 of your 32" screens in terms of space

Yeah 1080P or above is where its at these days, Like atm you can grab a 1080P monitor for £70-£80 these days. Looks like atm 1440p will overtake 1080P as the main standard. Im just waiting to see a 1440P TV. We have 1080P and 4K why not 1440P??

You raise a good point but I am finding it rather difficult to get something smaller than my current monitor although yes it will have a way better resolution.

might be worth trying out, I think 27" is pretty perfect

Well dont go any smaller then :D If you dont want to you dont have to. Although you could get 2x27" monitors? I could see that being even more useful than one 32"

Oh, I forgot to mention i already have 1 27" 1920x1080 next to my 38" but i use the 38" as my primary, I know it's madness. Another 27" is a good option though.

Well, You could have a look for the Product name on the back of that monitor and buy another one that would look pretty sweet haha. And the screen real estate you would have aswell would be around the same or maybe a little more that a 32" 1440P monitor
