Since the X has officially launched at 1000$ (That means resident Quad God CallmeVlad should have quad SLI Titans) we are no longer the owners of the best gpus in the world.

Let's weep together brothers.

Also: If those 390X benchmarks end up being true it'll be hilarious.

Intel 4790 K - R9 295X2 - Gigabyte Z97-SLI - Corsair Vengeance Pro Black 1866 CAL9 - Corsair HX 1000 -Samsung 850 EVO SSD - Samsung HDD - H100I - Corsair C70 - G400 Logitech - Asus VS247H - WASD custom mechanical and QCKPAD!

Staples of LTT: Getting an 4690 K will resurrect your lost family members, AMD = More heat thus AMD = Satan.

@Najuno will be running Tri SLI Titan X's if I'm correct?

I think I might buy just two for now and see how well they perform. Once the waterblocks from EK are available I will see. But non the less, I couldn't care less about all the red and green fan boy shit. If the R9 390X is as fast as on the leaks, then I don't see an issue to buy 2 or 3 of those bad boys as well and compare them 1to1 here. Since I have 2 X99 highend machines :). The 5930K will not be the limiting factor for a 4K benchmark!

So while so many people that can't even afford 1 of these cards fight and rant I'll buy and enjoy ;).

Who are you talking about?

He's talking about JustCallMeVlad and his 4way Classified GTX980 SLI.

In all reality the GTX980 will be a powerful card for a long time and a good choice for 1440p monitors. In SLI it will be a super fast solution and will be far away from being dead.

The Titan X and the R9 390X (AMD stated that the price will be 700+USD and even more for the 8GB HBM WCE) will be cards, that I see on par in terms of performance pretty much and the OCing potential will reveal the truth who has the fastest card. Out of the box performance means nothing to an OCer like me. But these cards aer more for pure enthusiast this time what I appreciate.

I thought the benchmarks for the Titan X were pretty good until I got my 980 Classified yesterday. My benchmarks beat it and that only only a single day of testing. I know you can OC the Titan X as well but the 980 will be relevant for a good while still.

If the Titan's GM200 scales as good in terms of OCing as GM204 does... the Titan X will be unmatched until AMD brings the R9 390X. Even then it remains to be seen in highend OCing who has more potential. Can't wait to slam waterblock on the babies and OC the living hell out of them with a modded BIOS!

Unless there's partners for the Titan X then they may not be as great as you may think.

But does the Titan X need card partners?

GTX 980 here

It was good being king. Oh well, my 980 runs everything at 1440p fine and I have no plans to go 4k anytime soon so I'm OK with it. Also, the 980 is 70-75% of the Titan X performance at 55% of the price, so at least we're still better value guys.

I do not need any special board partners other than EVGA´s reference design. With a custom high performance watercooler and blocks from EK OCing isn´t a problem ;).

BTW for all who live in denial here about nVidia reference PCB´s. One of my GTX980s could OC on air up to 1700MHz.... think about that.

Eh, I am going to play the wait and watch game.  I would like to see benchmarks on the Titan X and 390x before I decide to replace my SLI 980's.  The performance has to impress me before I buy the next new thing.  Performance to cost ratio, I could give a shit about.  :P

I have a potato!
