New desk: Vinyl wrap?

I'm moving, and going to throw away my 10year ikea desk, and re-use the stand, and make my own top for it.

 

Will vinyl wrap (3M) made for cars stick to MDF?

Or is there another type I can use?

 

Is most likely using a white glossy version.

Sorry for the few off Capital letters in my posts, it does it on its own when I Write in English, since my OS is in another Language. It's annoying.

Will it stick? Yes, but it will feel a lot more shitty than wood, and the first time you drop something on it it's properly ruined.

it will stick to mdf well if you lacquer the mdf, also it is a textured surface that feels weird don't recommend it
