I want to know if this build will work

Omanjarrez
Go to solution Solved by JoshM,

They are all compatible, would get a 260x or 270 though.

I have searched for parts to make a computer an ok one. And I wanted some one elses
knowledge to be able to tell me if this build will work. The parts are as follows.

Case: Rosewill Legacy V6
Motherboard: Asus H971-Plus LGA 1150
Processor: Intel Core i3-4160
Hard Drive: Seagate Barracuda 1TB
Power: Silverstone ST45SF 450W
Ram: G.Skill NS 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-pin DDR3 1333
Graphics: EVGA GTX 750-Ti 2Gb

How does this look?

And thanks in advanced.

Switch the i3 for a G2358 Pentium, and get 8gb of RAM. It will make a world of difference, that is, if you're using it for gaming.

Not if he wants to play games that demand 4 threads (aka AW) or anything mutithreaded, I would stick with the i3.

And how many games demand more than 4gb of RAM to run smoothly on decent settings? Alot.

It comes down to what games OP plans on playing.

The games I was thinking of playing are for example League of Legends
and more of the free to play games on steam. Otherwise I dont mind playing
better games on lower quality.

If I get more money before I start to build I might go for that extra 4 gb to get

8 gb.

That would be a very good idea.

Also, with the graphics card, a similarly priced R7 260X out performs that 750ti by quite a bit. I would check it out

Maybe he should get 8gb and an i3 from the start? The pentium is cool to have as you can OC but at the end of the day its is still a dual core, its nothing special...

Plus ram i such an easy upgrade too, he can get some like a week later or whatever

youll need 4GB of RAM minimum and 8 would be the most you really would need and by 260 and 270 he means the graphics card like a R7 260x or R7 270 i have the R7 260 and it runs most games that i play perfectly
