Returning Astro A40+Mixamp Pro, suggestions?

I just bought the Astro A40 with the new Mixamp Pro and a few friends told me my voice sounded like crap compared to my old hedset. I decided to make a video comparing microphones from other headsets I have around including:

Creative Sound Blaster Tactic 3D Sigma

Klipsch ProMedia In-Ear Headphones

I will most likely return the set and buy something else, but I'm not sure what'll get though since I do want something that works with PC and Xbox.

What do you guys recommend? I'd like to stay under $250, and something that will work with my PC and Xbox simultaneously if possible (Mic for game chat, and skype chat)

If I could use some of that budget to get a new sound card that'd be nice too.
