but they are nearly same as real life, gta5, advanced warfare, when you play them it's almost like you were in real life

so, someday it has to stop with graphics no?

there will be higher resolutions and stuff like that, but someday games will reach the reality in graphics, then what?

what Zeke said, just like when games like hotline miami, Shovel Knight etc took the gaming industry by storm. because they stood out amongst the Witchers 2s and the Far Crys.

my point is: ingame graphics are better every year, month, day and someday it has to stop, someday they will reach the reality and then what? will then the specific gpu last us for 10 years to play high games? (same resolution)

You just wait... I'm a game dev, I've seen where things are going.

Environmental and non-biologic things are already so realistic at best that people have tough time spotting difference. Animation model for people and animals are somewhat close to realistic but I haven't seen things that would be so realistic that they would be seen as real thing. Skin graphics for humans and most animals are still far from realistic.

 

There will be thing soon where VR is made how it should have in first place. By using real world as playfield and controller or display just for UI.
