In a recent statement Slightly Mad Studios shed some light on why they're delaying the game again, now till mid-May 2015 according to publisher Bandai Namco.

The earlier release date was to be at the beginning of April.

Despite therefore the game being 99.9 per cent complete, the remaining 0.1 per cent attending to small issues and bugs has been tricky to anticipate.

We're absolutely dedicated to delivering a ground-breaking experience and by targeting mid-May fans can be assured that's what they'll receive.

Honestly, I don't really mind.

I'm very excited for this game and as long as it turns out to be as good as promised (I have faith that it will be) a few more months waiting is fine by me.

It's all kind of good news for me as I am waiting to see what Fanatec release at the start of April as I'm borrowing my friends old GT2 Porsche wheel.

This is what I'm most upset about. I keep seeing youtube vids of each build and wishing I'd seen the kickstarter way back when.

Exactly! I wanna pay now and try this game, even in ti's early stages. This and assetto corsa are what I've been waiting for- a really good modern PC racing sim. I'm tired of playing stuff like forza on consoles.

The Beta version i played was unusable on a controller. Maybe thats one of the things they intend to fix with the extra time, especially as on console it will be the main input device. Look forward to using my G27 racing wheel and a VR set with this game!

wasn't on kickstarter, you had to go the the devs web site. and ended when they hit the target of 3,000,000 pounds. does it help if I say its awesome.

It's kinda frustrating. I want to throw them my money, but I'm stuck playing an older pirated build. I want the latest build and I want to pay for it.

Cool this gives me more time to save up for a G25, joystick to use as a handbrake and another monitor

I'm not into getting hardcore with sims but I will get hardcore with project cars if it doesn't disappoint me.

Might even build my own chair rig.

Waiting to see the final product before I drop any cash on this game. Assetto Corsa is amazing thus far, curious to see how it'll stack up. It's one thing to make a racing game pretty and full of special effects, but it's a whole other ball game to get the physics right. Considering this is slated to release on consoles with majority of players using game pads for control, I suspect they will have tailored the physics to be similar to Forza and GT which is somewhere between arcade and sim. That's ok with me as long as I can turn off all the assists. ;)

Also, they better get the sounds right. If the sounds aren't right, it just kills it for me. :/
