230mm in Bitfenix Prodigy?

Pip_Buoy

I know you can fit a 230mm in the front of this case, but I was wondering if you can fit it without removing the HDD cage. I was going to get the Bitfenix spectre 230mm.

Thanks in advance :)

I think you should be able to fit it in, BUT I've heard that there might be some issues with clearance between the fan and the side panel I/O.

I don't have first hand experience with this though.

The 230mm fan definitely fits in the case (without obstructing the I/O panel) if installed properly, but I'm not sure if it is too thick to fit with the HDD cage still in.

I actually just finished putting my 230mm in my prodigy! Definitely fits with the hdd cages and front I/O. You just have to remove the bottom cage via screws to put it in, then you can put the cages back in!

Thank you very much for the reply and picture. Unfortunately i had to make a choice and i ordered the 200mm fan. However this is good to know if i ever decide to upgrade or replace it.
