Next month I will be buying windows so I will have everything I need for my new computer except a monitor and a keyboard. I do however have an old dell monitor which has VGA and runs at 1400x900 I think. I believe that the r7 260x comes with a DVI to VGA adapter and I was wondering if I should wait to get my new montior (1080p, ips, DVI connector) or can I use my old monitor while waiting for the money to get a new monitor cause I may be waiting 1-2 months because I have graduation coming in a couple months and I need money for a suit but I want to get my pc finished before schools out. So should I use my old monitor or wait for a new one??

Yeah, you could definitely use it.

A lot of GPU's come with a DVI to VGA connector, but I can't confirm it for your GPU.

Use the monitor you have until you can get the new one/until it arrives. No sense in just letting your beautiful new machine go into early slumber.

I was planning to use an old monitor I had when I built mine, but ended up getting a new one when I bought all the parts anyways. Just do some math and figure out how much you need for all the parts beside the monitor, what you need to a suit, and see if what you have left over is enough for a monitor. If it is, then decide whether you want to spend that now or wait until you have more cash. It just depends on how much money you like to have to feel comfortable.
