So, we now know the Titan X exists as GM200 and is apparently going to have a 12GB memory configuration. Knowing this, we can assume the GTX 980Ti will spawn from the batches of titan's that did not make the cut. Would anyone like to speculate its memory configuration and specs based on this information?

If history repeats itself like the 700 series did with the 780ti being GK110B, being a crippled Titan Black, then the 980Ti might be a fully enabled Maxwell, No?

What would the specs be for you 980 owners to want to upgrade to a 980 Ti? Is there a specific memory configuration that you want to see spawn from the crippled Titan X's? Last but not least, what would the price have to be to entice you to buy one assuming it is better than a 980 and not quite a titan X?

It's possible, but i wouldn't get my hopes up too high yet.

Nah, not feeling the speculation life today.

Not sure what it will have.

Those spare defects would have to be recycled somewhere, lol. I just wonder to what degree the 980 Ti's will be crippled, IF they ever plan on making one, that is.

It wouldn't work out that way, the last Ti variants (750 Ti and 780 Ti) were more unlocked versions of the non-Ti variants. GM200 is a different core entirely.

AFAIK the Titan X is the full GM-200 core, which is actually based off a quadro card.

So unless they feel like butchering it to release a 980 TI, then I doubt it will happen.
