Is Netflix's commitment to net neutrality a lie?

This thread makes me cry and reminds me that the NBN stopped just 1k up the road when Turnbull got his hands on it and how the crappy copper network still goes down in heavy rain. I can barely stream 1080p youtube videos as things currently stand and that is an improvement on 5 years ago when HD was just a pipe dream for me.

Honestly this is the best deal they could make under the circumstances. Most rural towns are not going to have the bandwidth or access to iinet to use the service but it will be picked up in the major cities.  Anything that takes business away from Telstra and the horrible T-Box I'm all for.
