I am planning on getting a Hydro series and I heard a lot of issues about Corsair Link.

Do these problems still exist and if so what are they?

Well you don't need it. I have a h100i and don't use link at all except to change led colour once, I unplugged it after and works fine.

Works for me.

You dont need it though, just set the colour and fan curve to our liking and then you dont need to touch link again.

Also not all Hydro water coolers use corsair link, only the ones with the "i" do

Or consider the new Kraken coolers, although they are only in 140 and 180mm.

They also require you to sell your soul and your first born child.

No thanks.

Hi. Im a new user here on these forums but a long time pc builder.
I use Corsair Link in my Smurfette build.

It's VERY glitchy, but nothing you can't easily cope with..... I mean, sometimes it messes up fans speeds, and rgb colors, but all you have to ever do is either click that item and reassign values or click "reset unit" and either way I've had fantastic results.

Mind you, Im highly critical of C Link as I had two pumps running off it for my dual loop, and it failed to adjust pump speeds on a pwm pump which led to some over heating yatta yatta long story short i should have paied closer attention. Although It put me in some compromised situations I kept me running speccy right along side it and have since purchased two Bit Fenix Recons for control (which ultimately imo defeated C Link's purpose, but as for Digital Fan Controls, it was still unmatched)

Now for relevance... if your getting CLink just to maintain a color on your cpu waterblock then rest assured you're going to not only be VERY happy with your purchase, but likely end up rethinking your cooling/lighting to incorporate more of the C Link features.

I hope that helps, and as for the glitchiness, its a personal thing.... if you trust Corsair, then you are probably aware that they are working to resolve everything related to the unit, and although it may be a bit before we see REAL progress, there is no wasted money in buying it now and having it do what it can and just get better and better as they tweak it.

If you go through the LTT files there is actually a vid showing how to resolve this, you do so by individually adjusting each color value then resetting the red value. although the vid shows them deliberately setting it to pink, the steps remain the same. Good Luck =]

The one thing about Corsair link is that if you are running windows 8 or 8.1 you'll spend a long time getting it working properly.

If you manage to get it set up once, unplug the pump's USB and it will remember the settings and you'll never have to touch it again.

The hard part is getting it set up in the first place...check out this thread for info :

just go to the option panel in corsair link that is the upper right most tab and hit reset to default that will return the Pump to the displays.... and here is a link the video i referred to earlier

I have had my H80i and Corsair Link running for a few months and its been great. I had no issues at all setting it up aside from turning Blue and Green down to 0 to get full red. I set blue and green to 1 and it stays full red now.

Sometimes i troll...
