Yes it is possible.

No it's not worth it for gaming

And it's not called SLI, as that is an Nvidia GPU name

Yes my friend has two CPUs.

 

It's possible, but completely redundant for average consumers.

It is possible, there are sever boards that support 4 CPU's. The main reason to not do two is that the boards are expensive and the CPU's are almost always Xeons in the 2k-ish price range. Not to mention that it's useless for gaming.

I have one if ya want it. It's ancient and comes with 32 GB ddr2 ecc. I might list it on craigslist for $300 just to see what happens... >:D

thats not bad for a beefy home server :)

Especially if its LGA771....I know of quite a few people that would love to do some overclocking with their Xeons.

It's an AMD Operton Socket F board from 2006 :P

Still though, its 8 full cores and could probably run a server. Can't run minecraft though ;)

some mobo has dual cpu socket on it. but it's most likely an workstation mobo or server one. not a gaming one
