White or blue LED strips

I am planning on building a new pc pretty soon, and I want to hear your preferences on what color to make the LED strips. I will use an nzxt blue or white strip. Don't say to get an nzxt hue, that costs twice as much and won't fit in my case. This is the build I plan to make:

You could go custom Led strip for less then that, to get any color. but if you want plug and play, Id go blue

-snip-

White. It will make the colors in your case pop, while blue will make blue wash out, whites blue, and other colors black.

My arsenal: i7-9700k Gaming Rig, an iPhone, and Stupidity.

I always try do blue themed builds and when I do I think that white light looks alot better. Blue LED's tend to become abit to much :)

To be honest it depends on the colour of the Fury RAM. If its blue go blue, my memory is red so I'm going with a red strip

You will need a soldering iron and solder

here's a link for a cheap soldering iron and solder bundle

For a custom setup its simple

You can go with a mutli color setup

http://www.ebay.com/itm/5M-5050-RGB-SMD-LED-Waterproof-Flexible-Strip-300-LEDs-44-Key-IR-Remote-/180992529478?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2a23fed446

you will be able to cut it to length and you can change the color with a remote

Or you can go with a single color

This is white you can just search for any color of your choice

http://www.ebay.com/itm/ABI-300-LED-Flexible-Strip-Light-5M-Cool-White-6000K-SMD-3528-12V-/361156369591?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item541698dcb7

A connector to power it for the rgb option or you can just cut out the connect and solder the wires on the single color option

http://www.ebay.com/itm/ATX-PSU-power-adapter-cable-connector-4-pin-MOLEX-to-12V-DC-2-1mm-x-5-5mm-barrel-/121506729006?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c4a5d8c2e-5$

20-25$ for infinite Remote controllable colors, up to 15 feet

I ran 2 strips on the top of my case facing down

it will run off your power supply, and can completely hide and cable manage it.

edit: my thread about it, If you want to see my set up. If you want me to explain anything, ask away! http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/316324-custom-led-mod-and-no-not-led-fans/#entry4349320

I'll think about that, it seems pretty nice. Can I get one of those adapters from somewhere besides ebay? I just don't like to use ebay in general.

I can do some searching, but thats the exact adapter I bought and works flawlessly.

theres some that will work from amazon, but they run off a 6 pin graphics card adapter. http://www.amazon.com/PCI-E-6-Pin-2-5mm-Barrel-RockMiner/dp/B00LNDJ6F8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1425258077&sr=8-1&keywords=molex+to+2.5mm+barrel

Or if you have a soldering iron, you can do it yourself for cheap

That would also work for me, I will have an extra 6 pin on the psu. I could solder it, but I don't know how to solder properly.

ah. well then if you wanted, you could get more control boxes for the 4$, and have zoned lighting LOL.

but I love it. sometimes leds get annoying and its nice to be able to turn them off.

if you have a samsung phone with IR, you can control it with your phone also
