You don't need 16gb of ram for gaming, so just don't buy that. The 8350 would bottleneck dual 970s, it doesn't make sense. Buy a core i5 and 2 R9 290(x)s with 8gb of system ram, it's a much better option than either.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

i would go with the 8350, 1 8GB stick of ram and a 980 instead of 2 970's. Better yet, an i5 with a 980 would be killer at 1080p-1440p

why not i5 with 2 970?

I personally say 8350, R9 290X or GTX 980. SLI doesn't perfectly scale so 2 GTX970s doesn't mean double the performance.

But if someone can give me evidence of benchmarks from a trusted source that a 8350 will bottleneck high performance cards. Then a I5 and a R9 290X or GTX980 would be my next choice.

Is it bad that my dream setup only costs a few thousand not counting the obutto?

I'd go with just buying one 290X. It's an incredibly capable card and it's got wonderful price/performance. It's near the same as the GTX 970 but cheaper, in most cases, I'm pretty sure.

ye i wouldnt think it would bottleneck i favour i5 but it will give me 70 euro toward gpu if i get 8350 i might just do that and go for 980 stuck with so much choice

It would be better than one 980, for sure, but 2 290xs are better at higher resolutions (and a lot cheaper) so if the choice is either one 970 or two 290Xs, the 290Xs are much better.

And those extra cores on the 8350 I have found useful. Especially if you plan to stream or render. But a I5 will do better with singlecore performance. But I have not heard of a 8350 bottlenecking a high performance card. My friend runs a 8320 overclocked, with a R9 270x and his performance seems to be on par with my dad's i5 4460 and R9 270x.

Yea, the worst part about PCbuilding. finding the parts, and hoping that you made the right decision.

Which games do you play and at which res? It doesn't make sense going for the i5 if all you play is Crysis 3 because a 8350 doesn't bottleneck 2 GPU's in such a GPU limited game.

Its proven that an 8350 bottlenecks a single 970, just get an i5 4460 and either one 970 now and a second in the future or 4460 and the pair of 290x
