Need a good front panel card reader

So,i just completed my first build in a decade old case, and there's (obviously) no front panel USB 3.0 on it, since it was made right around 2002. Anyways, i need a front panel 3.5 inch multi card reader that connects via USB 2.0 that also has 2 USB 3.0 ports built in. I'd need the front USB 3 ports to not be a hub, so that they're as fast as possible. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, and i'd also like it to be pretty cheap. <$25

If it connects via 2.0, you will not get 3.0 speeds.

Either get a PCI-E to USB 3.0 header adapter, or just get a 2.0 reader.

I'd suggest something like this since it allows you to use it in the future use in with USB 3.0.

The reason why user reviews should not be taken seriously. Same exact card reader

These are all good suggestions but I seem to have not asked in the best of ways: What i need is a USB 2.0 front panel card reader with 2 usb 3.0 ports on it aswell.

That is not possible. Sorry.

You cannot have USB3.0 come from 2.0. You could get http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16815287019this. It will allow a front panel 3.0 unit to plug into it.

Unless you mean something like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820132030

That is pretty much what i am talking about, but the Card reader operating on the USB 2.0 ports with 2 USB 3.0 Pass-through's on it as well.

Your case is from 2002, how old is your build, what motherboard do you have? A usb 2.0 card reader with usb 3.0 is useless when the usb 3.0 is limited to run only at usb 2.0.

I just re-used the case, i've got a Pentium g3258 on a ASrock H81M-DGS mobo which has a USB 3.0 header on it.

>>EDIT<< *ASrock H81M-HDS Motherboard

Unless the pictures on Asrock's site is incorrect, there are 2 revisions of that board. Revision 1 has the internal USB 3.0 solder joints, but the header is never installed and revision 2 does not have any internal USB 3.0 headers at all.

Asrock H81M-DGS rev 1.0 (The USB 3.0 header is located on the left side of the grey SATA ports)

http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/H81M-DGS/

Asrock H81M-DGS rev 2.0 (No USB 3.0 header found anywhere)

http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/H81M-DGS%20R2.0/

Here is Asrock H81 board that does have the internal USB 3.0 header (it's located on the left side of the grey SATA ports)

http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/H81M-HDS%20R2.0/

In order for the USB 3.0 ports on the card reader to work at USB 3.0 speeds, it must be connect to that internal USB 3.0 header. If it's not connected to that header, then the USB 3.0 ports on the card reader will only work at the speed of USB 2.0. Now your board does have 2x USB 3.0 ports on the back, just buy a USB 3.0 extension cable so you can bring the port to the front. And grab yourself basically any USB 2.0 card reader. The other is to buy a PCIe USB 3.0 card with that internal USB header. And then you can get yourself a USB 3.0 card reader.

Sorry! It was a typo! The mobo is a H81M-HDS, not -DGS! It does have an internal front panel USB 3.0 port on it!

OK, then grab a card reader with the internal  USB 3.0 connector if you want to front USB 3.0 ports on the card reader to work at USB 3.0 speeds.
