OK so this is my build that im making currently, it fits neatly into my budget for a 1080p gaming machine.

 

i5 4690k

hyper 212 evo

gigabyte g1 gaming 3

red/black h440

r9 280x msi

1tb caviar blue

120gb ssd which i already own

antec tp 650W classic 80+gold

8gb hyper x fury red

benq gl2460hm monitor

 

The plan is to give the i5 a reasonable OC and upgrade gpu again in 2 years.

CPU-i5 4690k 4.4ghz @ 1.190V, MOBO-MSI z97 gaming 3, Cooler-hyper 212 evo, GPU- r9 290x asus directcuII (-37Mv), Storage-120gb v300(switching soon), 1tb caviar blue, CASE-Red/black h440, PSU-Antec TPC 650.

Okay. Personally, I would get the Gaming 5 (slightly better VRM cooling which is never a bad thing), 1TB Barracuda's are usually cheaper, PSU isn't exactly... Good, but not bad.

 

Other than that, I don't see much wrong.

Yeah i was gonna pick up the gaming edition of it for same price, but i watch a shit ton of films aswell so multimedia seemed like a better option. looks awesome for only £115

Looks good to me, Antec is okay as a PSU manufacturer, EVGA should be better but the Antec should do fine if the EVGA is a lot more.

So you guys reckon it will be a system that will be playable at 1080p for the 2 years before i upgrade gpu again?

You might pick up a bigger cooler. The 212 will do fine you'll just have to run your fans a little bit higher.

yeah possibly. Dont particularly want to go with a noctua i know they are good, but they are so god damn ugly. brown and biege just no!
