Hi there I am new to building computers and just built my first one. I can't find out how to adjust fan speed on the 3-pin fans in my system and one of the fans is not even shown under the monitor. Specs are below:

Motherboard: MSI H81M-E34

CPU:Intel Pentium G3258 @ 3.6 Ghz

PSU: EVGA 430W 80 PLUS

RAM: 4 GB Crucial 1300

Case: Corsair SPEC-01

Video Card: GTX 750

Is it that 3-pin fan control is not supported or is it that I am missing something? PLEASE HELP!

Make life rue the day it thought it could give Cave Johnson lemons! Do you know who I am? I’m the man who’s gonna burn your house down! With the lemons! I’m gonna get my engineers to invent a combustible lemon that burns your house down!”

Not all motherboards support it.

I think your board does though (not 100% sure), if you download MSI command center there's a fan control part in it. For me it doesn't tend to save any changes I make to the fans in Command center so go into the UEFI when you can and I'm pretty sure you can change the fan settings under hardware monitor.

One fan not being detected usually means that while it has connectors that are powered, they aren't being monitored by BIOS. I have one of those too and mobo is much more gamer/hc user oriented.

3-pin fans are voltage controlled. Almost all 3-pin headers have voltage control and while they do fit on 4-pin headers, those may lack voltage control as they're actually meant for PWM.

I cannot be held responsible for any bad advice given.

I've no idea why the world is afraid of 3D-printed guns when clearly 3D-printed crossbows would be more practical for now.

My rig: The StealthRay. Plans for a newer, better version of its mufflers are already being made.

Are you using fan splitters in your system?

No I am not

I have command center and on the 4 pin header shows under being controlled
