Cheap Full Tower I can tear apart and open up?

phantomasko

I'm building a system around X79 with GTX480 (and later with something new high end, when it is released), so I'll be needing some hefty cooling. So big case without front bay shields, sidepanel off and exhausting heat through some aftermarket fans. I can later control these fans through motherboard, so noise isn't really a problem. It will be sitting under table most of the time. Case doesn't need fancy looks and features, just nothing horrible.

I was looking at Bitfenix Shinobi XL, but I'm sure there's something cheaper.

I'm in EU. Thanks a bunch guys!

dont run with the side pannel off, you dont have airflow through the entire case that way.

The Bitfenix Shinobi XL is the cheapest case in that form factor though. Anything lower than that, is a poorly built or low quality case.

He's right, it decreases air pressure because of a greater volume (The room it's in) which makes cooling less efficient.

Now that I'm thinking about it, you guys are damn right - no pressure in case is a no go. Thinking - would that be enough cooling default +1 fan 230mm top and maybe another intake at the front, or complete default is enough with 5.25 shields removed?

Edit: Alright I found CM HAF 932 for 106€ instead of 141€ Bitfenix and looks like better cooling options too. OR alternative CM Storm Trooper for 140€.

Which one for great cooling under load and good (adequate) acoustics on general use?
