Hello, anyone here using windows 11 with unsuported cpu? I meet all the requirement just my laptop i7 6700hq cpu is the problem, tpm is 2.0 aswell and secureboot is on aswell. Wondering what would happen if i decide to bypass security using regedit and how would win 11 work on my cpu. If anyone here does use it with unsuported cpu how is it so far?

It works fine, I didn't need any hacks since the installer just accepts it if you have TPM 2.0 & secure boot. I just had to click confirm on a pop-up that the CPU was unsupported.

Btw how bout updates you get them or?

if you use Rufus to make a Win11 USB you can set it to bypass the CPU Reqs and install it on a 6th gen CPU.

 

Yes, you'll get updates and everything unless it's on a REALLY ancient CPU.  (Pre Intel Core era.)

i've ran it just fine all the way down to an AMD E-450, and an intel i3-540.

 

and if nothing changed since i did that madness, it works as if it was meant to.

Yep, they're received on the monthly patch Tuesday at the same time as my other PCs that meet all the requirements.

Sure, but Windows 10 end of support date is pretty much the same as 23H2, so I figure any time that PC gets security updates beyond 23H2 is just a bonus.
