WHY 8k. 4k just became standerd

1080p is barely a standard

Two Titan Z would have trouble playing some games at 4K with the settings up. Now imagine playing with 4 4K monitors. That's what 8K is. You have about 3-4 years to wait for that.

The projects never end in my line of work.

I don't think you understand how big 8K is resolution wise... it's eqivalent to running 16 x 1080p monitors in surround.

Let's look at it from another angle (low settings).

Assuming pixel count and performance scales nearly linearly, and 8k is 4x 4k, AND you need about a R9 280 to play BF4 low 4k and get 60fps, I would say it could be possible on low assuming you had the connectors to display it and the vram wasn't a huge bottleneck.

But a single gtx TITAN Z can run a 4k monitor but why 2 can't run a 8k screen.

Being able to run a monitor isn't the same as using it. The desktop frame buffer would be insanity. For comparison: My truck can theoretically haul 10,000 pounds in the bed, but it's rated much lower than that.

4K is difficult to push as so as it is in games. 8K will have 4 times as many pixels as 4K. It's a while off.
