If I were to start a kickstarter, hypotheticaly, to buy frozencpu, and re open it, would you donate?

If so, how much?

 

Do you think it could be done?

I wouldn't personally donate, but it won't succeed. It would cost far too much to buy FrozenCPU.

when did they shut down? also they seemed pretty successful 

They shut down very recently, the owner has addiction issues and everyone got laid off.

Where was the indication that money had anything to do with them closing?

There is zero indication of this, but the owner isn't just going to give OP FrozenCPU for free, is he? The owner is unfit to run the company. He has major issues with addiction (not sure of what kind) and there is little sense of stability.

You may not be fit to if you have little understanding of logistics and economics (I'm 17, am the same way as you) but if you have someone to help, it could work.

I've never been on the website but from what i can tell all they do is sell components and i gather that a large part of their success is lower then other retailers which would not be the case if potential customers had to donate to get their cheap prices available again.

Yeah, i would have to do research, figure out if it is even possible.

Get some donations to hire workers, etc. Have some members of LTT forums volunteer for some functions.

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

I don't think I would 'donate' so someone else could buy the company. I'd be more interested in some sort of group purchase of the company. I'm also above the age of 18, so I'm probably only one of several people on the forum who can legally do so.
