While it's not worth a great deal to people like us, throw it on Craigslist, say it has an i7, GTX graphics card, can play high quality games and you'll likely get $500 pretty easily.

Don't market to enthusiasts. You won't get much.

$50 for used i7-930

$100ish for used 750ti

$110ish for 16GB 1333 Ram

$35ish for 1TB HDD

So about $300 for the main components and that's piece by piece which costs more

So around $300 - $350 for everything.

My arsenal: i7-9700k Gaming Rig, an iPhone, and Stupidity.

I'd say about $500+, its still going to kick the crap out of any pre-built at that price, and even ones more expensive.

Can't really rate it like that. If someone's buying a used complete, chances are they're not willing to build their own.

That holds value.

The rest of the pieces (case, OS, motherboard, etc) all hold value as well.

That's true, yeah, but those who are picking up a computer like this will want flashier stuff, which isnt what a generic HP case provides. If it were thrown into a NZXT Source 210, for say, it may have a better chance of selling.

Jesus. How when and where? I could barely get $1600 for my X99 rig.

my best friend actually. hes 16 and paying all himself, he does video work and needs something that will render faster then his macbook pro. and its actually a 7950 and a 7970, so its a hella lot of openGL power.

Its impressive because hes self made, all the money is coming from his video work. It will be another 2 months before he buys it, but hes locked in and put down a deposit.

all I have to say is though, focus on the postives. I point out that it was 700$ worth of just gpus 6 months ago. and that fact that I can play any game maxed out at 60 fps, with just using one card doesnt hurt either. even though I paid 200$ combined for both cards.

all in all, I have 900ish into the system. so its kinda a steal, but he needs something already built. and you cant touch that perfomance with any prebuilt. so in his mind hes saving a lot of money. that and it looks all sexy because its in a s340, and that case has amazing cable managment.
