MSI Geforce GTX 970

FrigidNinja

thinking about buying this card, id like some feedback from anybody who's used it

few questions

can i overclock it?

how expensive is a water cooling block to match the model

how many v-ram modules are there on it? (i know it has 4gb of vram, im asking how many components other than the gpu need to be cooled, possibly going to use mini-water blocks on the v-ram modules)

also ive heard it comes with an ubisoft game upon purchase, is that still true?

Thanks everybody!

8 mem modules.

4 on the GPU side and 4 on the backside of the card.

I would OC the crap out of it before considering OCing. I have two SLI'd, which is not ideal from a thermal point of view, and it's still a rarity for their temperatures to get out of the 60s Celsius.

I easily got to 1500mhz clock speed on my MSI GTX 970, and it stays quiet during gaming. (At around 73 degrees celcius MAX)

I also got Far Cry 4 from it, though make sure you bought it from retailer that has the promotion (code doesn't come in the box).

Also, the Mousepad that came with it is actually pretty good, though it STINKS the first time you open it xD
