Hi all,

I've come across NVIDIA's marketing facility! As you can see, only the best of the best make it here.

Unfortunately I fell into one of their massive holes on the way out, but I survived.

i may like nVidias products but i seriously hate everything else about them. like seriously, from their marketing to belittling the competition. i hate being tied down to a company and always chose the opposite gpu manufacturer every upgrade. if it werent for the fact that AMD was taking too long to get the 300 series and i needed a major upgrade. i would be running AMD right now. specifically the saphire Vapor X. god i love that card. 

Space Journal #1: So Apparently i  was dropped on the moon like i'm a mars rover, in a matter of hours i have found the transformers on the dark side of the moon. Turns out its not that dark since dem robots are filled with lights, i waved hi to the Russians on the space station, turns out all those stories about space finding humans instead of the other way around is true(soviet Russia joke). They threw me some Heineken beer and I've been sitting staring at the people of this forum and earth since.

He's right though.

Your next upgrade is going to be a card that you have no info about or know how well it performs?

Nvidia never promised owners consistent access to all the memory. it is there and I haven't seen any real world tests for gaming that show that it results in some terrible change in performance. it was a side effect of cutting down the chip the way they did. before everybody knew about the "issue" it was regarded as one of the best cards for the money, but now knowing about the side effect that rarely has any effect on the way 99% of people would use it, people think it's suddenly inferior to what it was before they knew.

 

edit: my 660 ti, which had a 192 bit memory interface but had 2GB of memory must have had an asymmetrical memory architecture, but it was and still is a damn good card in my opinion and for my use.

This thread is useless, why can't you post this crap in one of the already existing threads about this. We got all pretty got the news and the idea. Nvidia is a multibillion dollar company, mistakes are just asking to be happened with a company that big, and what they work with.
