remember the good ol days when a ps2 game was 20 bucks. when you can get ratchet and clank for such a low price. then everything skyrocketed when the 7th gen came out.

i miss those simpler times.

what are some of your good ol' days moments?

Space Journal #1: So Apparently i  was dropped on the moon like i'm a mars rover, in a matter of hours i have found the transformers on the dark side of the moon. Turns out its not that dark since dem robots are filled with lights, i waved hi to the Russians on the space station, turns out all those stories about space finding humans instead of the other way around is true(soviet Russia joke). They threw me some Heineken beer and I've been sitting staring at the people of this forum and earth since.

Yeah the economy went like this:

That's due to the people allowing it to end up like that. If everyone was better educated on economics it probably would have steered us in a different direction.

Who remembers 2008?

Inflation, economy, cost to make and advertise said games are all reasons why they seem/are more expensive.

Short term is all that matters obviously, even if you're pointing a shotgun at your foot in the process.

Well there's this thing called "inflation"

well yea, but stupidity had a huge role in that, the main purpose was for you to share your "good ol' days" moment.

I don't have any reconciliation of the "good ol' days" unfortunately. I like the present far better than the past.

When i had a AMD 64 X2 and i wished to get a 8800 GT...........but i had a crappy rig. BUT HEY AMD WAS BETTER THAN INTEL AROUND 2005...........

AMD 64 X2 WAS BETTER THAN A PENTIUM D........

Pentium D was basically 2 P4 in a single die.

2 dies one package*

My 1994 IBM aptiva has a 5400rpm 6GB IDE HDD and has 32 bit windows xp on it (the disk is 90% full) and it has 512MB RAM with a Pentium 4 or 2 i cant think of hand.

My point is it boots in 45 seconds and it still runs like its brand new. Now this is QUALITY.

What computer built in the last 5 years will last 21 years and boot at the speed it was originally made at? NONE.

Laptop: Thinkpad W520 i7 2720QM 24GB RAM 1920x1080 2x SSDs Main Rig: 4790k 12GB Hyperx Beast Zotac 980ti AMP! Fractal Define S (window) RM850 Noctua NH-D15 EVGA Z97 FTW with 3 1080P 144hz monitors from Asus Secondary: i5 6600K, R9 390 STRIX, 16GB DDR4, Acer Predator 144Hz 1440P

As Centos 7 SU once said: With great power comes great responsibility.

You should go on youtube and look up John Finnemore's Eurozone Crisis analogy, it's brilliant, and it's hilarious. My dad's a financial analyst and he was in stitches, he really liked it.
