Basically I want to bring some unique videos but I am not sure. I do love to play games so something gaming oriented.

I don't have much to offer but my best ideas are:

  • Rage videos because I get angry extremely easy
  • I know quite a bit about PC parts (but plenty of people already do it)

I am not going to get my YouTube started with Lets Plays so I need something different, please help :)

Do what you like, that is important.

Maybe try some tutorials videos/trick and tips stuff, since a lot of people search for that.

You can also do ragetages (rage montages)

TBH youtube gaming is saturated, there is a channel for anything, but if you so desire search new games and spotlight those, not AAA games

Yeah, I was thinking ragetages

Prove that pci-e 3.0 makes a difference. GO!

You'd be the first person to do so...apparently

People say that pci-e 3.0 makes absolutely no difference. I however experienced a difference moving from 2.0 to 3.0 with my gtx 660. Could have been that I also changed from an AMD a10 5700 fm2 APU to a 4690k.

If people had a unique idea why would they give it to you instead of making a career for themselves? Really though there is no secret to becoming a successful YouTuber, all it is is hard work (and tons of it). There will be close to no return in the start, maybe even for the first years, so it's something you've gotta do because you love it, not to "make it big". (Additionally if you do decide to go with rage videos your main demographic will be 5 year olds)

To be honest  so few youtube video about games are still good these days, the majority are a lets play style, where one person plays a game and talks shit for a while, which may be interesting for a bit but gets extremely boring extremely quick.

What makes me stick around is a video that has some jokes, but mostly consists of opinions and ideas, or constrictive criticism. Something that i can learn from! Or at least gets me thinking, it doesn't have to be the most deep thing ever.

An example of someone who manages to bridge creativity and entertainment (without necessarily teaching too much) is EthosLab, who plays minecraft, his videos don't teach too much (although he know a crazy amount about MC, but you don't have to be really into it to get it) but he leverages the game to make some really cool original well thought out projects. And the video is well edited and has very few pointless moments, so to speak. He has a plan and keeps the messing around to  a fun and appreciable level.

So theres my take on youtube :P

PS Minibois is right though, you have have to do something you like! :D

Bleigh!  Ever hear of AC series?

It's impossible to watch every gaming video of a single 'YouTuber'.

They get too boring. I stopped watching Minecraft videos a long time ago and the only gaming video I still watch are either about games I used to play, or ones that teach me.

A good example is Drift0r's YouTube channel. He does Call of Duty videos, but rather than 1337 gameplays, he uploads video about how the game works.

How the guns works and stuff like that.

Really interesting IMHO and that makes me watch it, not just the gameplay.

Another guy I consistently watch is M3rkMusic, he does CoD (and some other games) funny montages. Just funny clips and such from him and his buddies playing games, that is still enjoyable.

Let's plays are hardly enjoyable anymore..

True, especially those who relate to a game.

I haven't watched his video in a really long time! His videos were always good, (i personally stopped because my interest in CoD faded) mechanics of a game are always a brilliant place to go to make videos.

I haven't seen heard of him, videos of those kinds are good, if not great if you like the personalities. But to me they can become stale very quick, you've seen one you've seen em all ind of thing. Now there may be good channels of that ind I haven't found, but most don't keep me around too long.

I wholeheartedly agree about lets plays though, Full ones are dull as hell, shorter lets lay "tasters"  I find very enjoyable, like those by GamersDissent :)

Maybe you could make some extreme budget builds (I'm talking sub 250$) and make videos on how they perform and on wether it is actually possible to game on them or not if you have a very, very low budget.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨
