hard drive probs

i built my friend a PC, but the hard drive seem not to be working, so i took it home to see if its really dead. And at this point i can see it in my device manager but not in my computer tab (windows 7)

make it a primary boot , and format it to NTFS and then you'll be able to see it in computer

did you make it a primary boot first? once you've done that right click and select format.
