Can I use this to convert DC to molex?

legend8887

I'm getting these lights for my PC:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00B2F3KDQ/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1421764243&sr=8-1&dpPl=1&dpID=61DXS0lgjaL&ref=plSrchπ=AC_SY200_QL40

Can I use this connector to convert the 2.1mm DC connection the lights use to molex so I can plug them into my computer's power supply?

http://www.moddiy.com/products/Molex-4%252dPin-to-Gridseed-Power-Plug-%282.1mm-DC-Barrel-Plug%29.html

I really appreciate all the help.

EDIT: ITs 12VDC and 5A...i would think so, the molex connector is rated to 12-13A and so should your wiring, but i would check that.

What is the voltage rating and current draw for the LED strip?

12V DC and my power supply is 850 watts so I know I'm good on the power draw from the LEDs.

Should have no issue their both 12v and I doubt they're going to use a cfrapton of power

Thats that. If you need to get in touch chances are you can find someone that knows me that can get in touch.

They are the correct connectors, but it says nothing about polarity. The center pin is nearly always positive which is what your lights will be, I'd verify it before plugging it in though. If it is backwards it isn't going to blow anything up, it simply won't work until you flip flop the wires.

Keep in mind that the controller with those LEDs are controlled via IR, which is line of sight like your TV. The end of the remote has to see the IR bulb on the controller, you can't just tuck it away in your case.

RF wireless does not need line of sight:
