someone posted on facebook saying they wanted to sell their WoW account and i commented on it saying it was against the rules, words were exchanged and then the poster had blocked me so i made a post on the group about it and now people are having a go at me for doing the right thing.

 

 

 

Why i started this: its against the T&Cs for World of Warcraft to buy and sell accounts, characters, items and gold, so i wanted to do some good and stop this from happening.

Honestly, you should have reported it and moved on. Send a message to the mods or whatever, and let them deal with it. We have the same problem here on the forum. That said, the responses from the other people should get them banned.

It is against TOS, but leave it to the admins, the best you can do is report. BUT why do you care? You know what happens to those people that buy geared up WoW accounts? They end up sucking so much with the characters because they don't know how to play, they don't know proper shot rotations etc. There is a reason why you have to level up instead of just being instant max level, you need to learn to play the character. Back in TBC days if you respec your talents it took about 15 days to a month to learn to handle the character properly in arenas.

So my question remains, why would you care?

Honestly. If I had a sick WoW account  and got bored of the game. I would want to sell it to, at least to get something out of the countless hours I would've spent at the game.
