Does anyone can tell if this GPU is worth the money? I am considering getting EVGA GTX 970 ACX 2.0 SC or SAPPHIRE VAPOR-X R9 280X 3GB GDDR5 TRI-X OC WITH BOOST. I am all about gaming in 1080p/1440p. :)

Thanks in advance for your help folks.

Have a nice day! :)

970 > lots of things > 280x

970 for 1440p, 280x for 1080p. If you can get them for similar costs then get the 970.

970 FTW

Ahhh! Thank you guys for really quick answers. Yeah, I think I am gonna go with EVGA 970 but don't know which version. I only have about 380 euro's. For 378 I can get that 970 ACX 2.0 SC.

970 > lots of things > 280x

970>280x>lots of things, just re-arranged for you :)

Anyways, get the 970 for 1440p and/or 1080p. Get the 280x if you wanna save money if it's cheaper. I highly suggest getting the 970 anyways as it boasts a great price/performance ratio.

What software can I use to set up fan speed on GTX 970 G1 GAMING from Gigabyte? Can I also make it 0db fans, just like Strix and MSI have done? Thanks in advance for your help folks. :)

Just remember g1 over windforce. Asus strix if the g1 is too long for your case. I've heard zotac oc's quite well also.

Unlike the 290 products, most of the 970s are similar in quality and perfomance. Some like the g1 can lead the pack, and all of the brands have a chance of giving you one with coil whine, but the rma process for those aren't bad.

Still new, but learning

I am not worried about my case, the GPU will fit just fine. 970 should arrive today. ;) I am gonna post update when I got it installed. ;)

Gigabyte delivers a CD with their own overclocking software. You can change the fan speed there. :)
