Computer boots then turns off?

PapaGangster

Hey guys, so I just installed my new CPU fan and had to apply some pressure to one side to get it latched on. Now when I try to turn my computer on it boots until it hits the mother Bord display and then turns off? Did I kill my CPU? My pc spec are on my profile.

Well it powered on before that so I would think so.

Have you ever updated it?

If not, update it with the old processor in then new processor should be fine.

If not, something else may be wrong.

Compatible with Windows 95

I just had a message pop up saying cpu fan error?

you forgot to plug in the cpu fan, or pluged it into the wrong port

That doesn't make sence because the fan still works.

So the current situation is it is booting on all fans working and is staying on but there is no signal to the monitor.I have also tired a few things now I've taken ram out to clean, put old CPU cooler back in, checked CPU for damage no damage. Also tried to rest coms that didn't work. Am going to try pulling the GPU and then putting it back in. If that doesn't work I have no idea what to do.
