So I've more or less decided to go with the r9 290 for my build, and I'm wondering if an i5 4460 would become a bottleneck. The reason I chose the 4460 instead of 4690k is simply to cut costs. This is the build im thinking of going with: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/FcbpRB (I have a 750w power supply already) the budget is kinda maxed out as it is, so if I was gonna get the 4690k I'd have to cut down on something else. So should I upgrade the cpu? Or will it be fine?

If you live anywhere near a Micro Center you can pickup (in store purchase only) an i5-4590 for US$160.

You can shave a few dollars moving to mATX and going with a 2x4GB memory kit. The memory kit has the added advantage of dual channel memory operation.

An i5-4460 is a great gaming CPU that will handle any graphics card you throw at it really well.
