Recommended Wattage?

Ok, so in the next year, I will be upgrading my PC.
I'm sticking with AMD and was gonna go for the 9590, don't worry I will be air cooling with a noctua cooler in the future too.

The big upgrade is the GPU, going from a 660, to a 780. I feel a 970 would be over kill even for me.

SO, the big question.

I went onto numerous psu calculators , put these specs in, mixed with my current ram, etc.

they all had different results, between 500 and 700.

My current supply is a  600w.

In    my opinion, i feel it'd be wise to upgrade?

But I need your opinions on it.

Current Rig:

fx 6300,

msi 970 gaming mobo

gtx 660

8gb corsair ram

600w corsair cx supply

1x1tb hdd

nzxt h440

Future Rig:

fx 9590,

msi 970 gaming mobo

gtx 780

8gb corsair ram

---Suggested Power Supply---

1x1tb hdd and 1 ssd

nzxt h440

noctua air cooler OR corsair h110 depending on which is cooler

I hope you are aware that the 9590 bottlenecks high-end cards (Even at 4.7GHz there are bottlenecks yes)

Also 9590 on an MSI 970 is not going to cut it at all

If you are adamant on sticking to AMD (Anything but recommended) then I recommend an EVGA G2 750/850 for SLI possibilities

RIG: I7-4790k @ 4.5GHz | MSI Z97S SLI Plus | 12GB Geil Dragon RAM 1333MHz | Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 970 (1550MHz core/7800MHz memory) @ +18mV(Maxed out at 1650/7800 so far) | Corsair RM750 | Samsung 840 EVO 120GB, 1TB Seagate Barracuda | Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 (Closed) | Sound Blaster Z                                                                                                                        Getting: Noctua NH-D15 | Possible 250GB Samsung 850 Evo                                                                                        Need a console killer that actually shits on every console? Here you go (No MIR/Promo)

This is why you should not get an FX CPU for ANY scenario other than rendering on a budget http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/286142-fx-8350-r9-290-psu-requirements/?p=3892901 http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/266481-an-issue-with-people-bashing-the-fx-cpus/?p=3620861

The FX 9590 is a mad processor, you'll need at least that H110 to control it. A H100i is actually bareley enough to hold it's maximum clock speeds.

That motherboard might have a too small power delivery for the CPU.

600W will be very close, and why would a GTX 970 be overkill for you, but a GTX 780 not? Get a 970 and you will be abled to use that 600W PSU without thinking about it..

who cares...

hello, your motherboard will burn and die in pains with a useless fx 9590 . 6+2 power phase

the fx will bottleneck a gtx 780 and the 780 is discontinued

Your current psu is plenty for any of those upgrades.

600W will be very close

Not at all--a decent 500-550w would already be more than enough.

My phenom x4 965 BE (no oc) is a 125W cpu and draws 440W together with my gtx 580.

That monster of a cpu will sureley draw more power than my X4, the 780 will probably be around the same as a 580.

So yeah, a good 550 will probably take it. Ok.

who cares...
