Do you play Airsoft?

I was wondering who here plays Airsoft and if so, whats your setup?

 

 

 

My Setups -

 

Primaries

• Echo 1 M249 SAW (fully upgraded, 50-60 rps [untested)
• KWA M4A1  CQB setup(project rifle [lots of problems])
• Echo 1 G36c CQB cetup
• G&P M4A1 Outdoor setup (almost stock)

Secondaries

• KWA USP GBB
• KWA MP9 (run in akimbo)
• KWA MP9 (run in akimbo)
• Revolving 6 slot Grenade launcher

I'd love to play airsoft or paintball but when I had money to blow there was no decent field around here.  Now they finally have one and they say they are insured but I am waiting til they have a decent website and more information up before I'll go pay and play.  I still haven't made the trip to London, Ontario to play with my son there.  I guess they have a really good field to play at.

Thats what I love about my SAW, they really dont make good ones anymore to my knowledge. I left the orange tip on it and the stock externals (where I play if you have orange tip your gun is not usually not very good) so people think its nothing, until it can dump its 2500 round box mag at 475 fps in a minute and half plus a very tight grouping

475 fps would have you banned from every site here

 

Also we dont have orange tips because they are not a legal requirement in the UK

 

Not a fan of the SAW because they are large and heavy but they are intimidating to come up against, just visually look menacing

Most fields here are around 300-480, there is one field here I really want to make the 3 hours trip that is 200 acres of play field and allows up to 560fps

 

I was joking about painting our saw Pink and black so it looked less powerful lol - I just put 200$ into rebuilding the gearbox

I played for quite some time but after my back got fucked up I quit and sold all my kit. I had a JG AK-74 with a few 1k rnd mags, a Sten and an MP40 with about 20 mags, pump action shell fed shotty as a backup(it actually fired multiple bbs per shot) and a few pistols. All AEG's or spring as I thought gas defeated the purpose of playing airsoft, I started with crappy walmart spring pistols and used a crossman bolt action rifle for awhile with a few really crappy walmart AEG's. I changed the guts in it to make it shoot over 500 but it broke and I moved on to a JG HK-416 with a 10.5in barrel and a crane stock then to the AK.

Crazy we have a limit of 325 for full auto, (or 350 some places) 425 for Semi auto only and 500 fps for bolt actions with 20mm minimum engagement

 

Would not play on a field where people are firing 500fps full auto guns

560 is for snipers with 60m distance, 500 and above is at 45m distance and semi auto, 450 to 499 30m auto

 

I mean playing on the field would be fine, just gotta be more tactical and more suppression, time to bring out the minigun

What 60m minimum? that seems a little extreme most stock guns would fail to reach out that far at all

couple hundred acres , love living next to known where

My normal field is 120 acres

 

 

Also gotta keep in mind most of the guns that reach that far are heavily modified snipers.

I would say it counts as tech, how much technology goes into the nicer guns is stupid, also most people at my fields are ex marines and military so I always here some amazing stories

Also, for Airsoft the US requires all guns to have the barrel tip painted orange.

Also, for Airsoft the US requires all guns to have the barrel tip painted orange.

It really depends state to state, in North Carolina - they are very relaxed about it but like in California you can get in big trouble (most fields wont let you play without orange tips in California)
