How Do I Use Two Different Audio Devices at the Same Time?

Hackzzila

SO I want to use both my receiver and my 5.1 surround at the same time, the receiver is hooked up via 3.5mm cable in my monitor which gets sound over HDMI and my 5.1 system is hooked up via my onboard sound on my Maximus VI Hero. When I tried using virtual audio cables my reciever was behind my 5.1 system.

you dont really,

you could try plugging a 3.5mm splitter into the line out port on the motherboard and plug the headphones and 5.1 into that
