NVIDIA Corporate Network Breached

The way in which this hack was executed -- and the timing, at Christmas when the sysadmins were busy with other things means it is highly planned

Machines such as Titan are the latest generation of supercomputers, and the information on it is worth a lot of money to the right party. There has, as yet, been no confirmation of any intellectual property, classified or otherwise, being copied from the network.

There won't be useful info about credit card and other general targeted info other than ip's. then May be it is amd Intel Qualcomm Samsung etc Only other choice is some geek who want to see should I wait for next gen graphics card. Or Luke who thought, why to benchmark I will copy it from nvidia.

It's actually Intel so they can find out how to make their iGPUs not suck.

They don't suck... If intel wanted to build GPUs, they would...

That maybe so but we've yet to see evidence of it.

I'm sure if they wanted they could they have the founds to funnel into R&D it's clearly just not their main focus.

Space Journal #1: So Apparently i  was dropped on the moon like i'm a mars rover, in a matter of hours i have found the transformers on the dark side of the moon. Turns out its not that dark since dem robots are filled with lights, i waved hi to the Russians on the space station, turns out all those stories about space finding humans instead of the other way around is true(soviet Russia joke). They threw me some Heineken beer and I've been sitting staring at the people of this forum and earth since.

While I'd love me a good espionage story what really happened is a lot more boring than what you'd imagine. Simply put employees got lazy with security protocol.

No major data was compromised according to official statements from Nvidia but that's what they'd say even if important data was compromised, so who knows.

You mean nuke the ocean. :P

not even the ocean. the nuke will just land back in the forest since he launches the nukes from his backyard (reference to the setting of the movie)

They supply by far the best solution for CPU and GPU for low-power devices such as the Surface Pro, with Iris and HD 5000 being by far the most efficient GPUs in that class. There is nothing that AMD or NVIDIA have available as a competition... Intel Haswell GPUs have a very high GFLOPs/Watt ratio, only really beaten by the GPUs in ARM SoCs such as the Tegra K1, Apple A8/X, etc... which all are much lower power GPUs...
