I was wondering if there was a big enough difference in between them to hinder streaming, and gaming. And don't you even dare say "Go with intel, there way better for gaming! I have spent the last 3weeks researching, and it has come down to these 2. 8350, and 8320. I know there advantages, and disadvantages.

Thanks for the help!

Is it bad that my dream setup only costs a few thousand not counting the obutto?

The 8320 is an underclocked 8350.

There won't really be a performance difference between the two. If you get an aftermarket cooler, you can easily clock it the same as you could an 8350.

They're the same just the 850 is higher clocked and will likely OC better. Not too much of a difference for gaming or streaming.

The 8320 can be overclocked to reach the performance of the 8350 but it's not guaranteed.  If you want to have a higher stock clock speed then get the 8350.

Basically the 8350 is just a higher clocked 8320.

Well considering that fact that i regret buying my 8320....a i3 4130/i5 4430 instead.

I knew it, At least one person was going to say go intel. I know intel has more performance per core. But! A i3 won't cut it for streaming, and editing. I need those 8cores. There is not a big enough FPS difference to spend the extra 100-200USD

How about a Phenom II X6 1100T? It's a true 6 core cpu unlike the FX one.

But really what is your budget for a rig? Maybe i can make one for you that's perfect.

I have to agree completely with bubblewhale with this... it's not worth getting FX anymore.

But for the sake of asking, go more into detail of what you'll be doing.

An i5 4440 is cheaper than an 8320 when you factor in the motherboard and cpu cooler. It will also do better in video editing, at least in premier.

For streaming, a 4440 will be mostly fine. FYI the amd 8-core CPUs aren't really 8 cores, it is closer to 4 cores with hyperthreading with how it works. There will also be games where the amd processors will just fail, while intel CPUs are more consistent. You really shouldn't go AMD; intel winds at every price (besides possibly with the g3258 vs 860k)

I will be doing game streaming. So BF4, TF2, hearthstone, minecraft, some indie games using OBS, or xpsplit I want to 30FPS average min well streaming. I am thinking r9 280 (not 280x) 8gigs 1600 RAM.

Than some recording with FRAPS. I was thinking 8350, because I have seen tek syndicate videos, benchmarks, and reviews. And they all say its a great CPU for its cost.

If you can build me a rig at the same price, and performance as this one: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/jTQjLk Minus harddrives and periphrals. It needs to handle xsplit/OBS streaming at about 720P.  I will go for it. But I have tried, I really did want to go intel. But I couldn't make it work.

Okay, so theres defiantly a viable option. One thing I see about it, Is its not very upgradeable. What I had before allowed crossfire, and more RAM. But I see your point.

970 Boards are pointless to Xfire in anyway because of it's 16X/4X speed that may or may not give you a performance increase over one card.

Also get this board instead of the Asus one
