 windows 7 64 ultimate in india is 5 times costlier than what it is priced in US , yes i have a pirated OS, i have no access to the original , i am a student 

I dont care if people have a pirated OS as long as it isn't the newest version. I feel that it's comparable to if Avengers 2 comes out and I haven't even seen Avengers 1 and I know for a fact that it's been on TV several times, then Pirating would be okay. (This is my opinion. If any mod has a problem with it, then feel free to take this comment down)

Hmmm, so in other words they are going to add mantle like features to directX 11 and call it new. I don't buy that its only for windows 8.1/10 as I had directX 10 running on windows XP, and directX 11 once I copied some main files across.

I recently built a new rig and installed 8.1 (free from Uni  :D ). I'm loving it with Classic Shell. The thing boots and is ready to use in about 4 seconds. Incredible.

I get close to that with windows 7 on a 60GB SSD, sure its not the fastest, but it beats the hell out of the WD blue it was installed on before.

Sucks that Microsoft has said they won't give it to those running 7... I would install 8.1, but meh, no time, no money, and slow internet. Guess I might as well wait for 10 anyway.

As far as I'm concerned, windows 10 is for when my Win 7 disc and its iso's get broken or lost. which should be never as I have multiple backups.

I used windows 3.1 until 1999, windows 98 until 2002, windows xp until February this year, windows 7s going to be with me for a long time since its a big improvement over what I've used :P
