After updating to the lates Nvidia GF driver I thought maybe i could skip the GE part and not remove an GE components. I was using 2.1.4 anyway though... My question is Aside from Shadowplay and streaming What benefit does it really offer?. More so, At what cost (to performance) does it provide features that some never even use? I use shadowplay but not the Updates or Optimizations to the NCP...

let me know if you use it

I set it up for people who aren't particularly savvy enough to find out what settings they can run games.

Easy tuning of game settings if you are unsure what you should use. This could also be used as a reference point when you want to strike a balance between fps and graphical fidelity. Easy to keep track of driver updates

It's meant for people who are not familiar with graphics settings and what their system is capable of. If you know that then just ignore the software as it's not meant to be used by you.

just lets you keep up to date with any software tweaks that nvidia may release for it, and sometimes they release neat new things, so its always good to keep it updated to the most current version + its not like it hurts to update it ^_^

Thanks for the feedback. yall come back now ya hear.

because I don't feel like uninstalling it.....

plus it doesn't toll my system noticeably at all, and you know the shadowplay and things

Nice. I never noticed it much myself, I uncheck everything .. Mostly so it does not get that yellow exclamation mark to remind to update. And i did try it once for a display driver update.. I see what your saying about not uninstalling it. But now that it is gone I ask myself , and the wonderful community forum here,  Why reinstall now. Maybe next driver. Plus on the GeForce Driver forum  i see quite a few threads about GE issues.  I can't say I had any major issues , Maybe Shadowplay Glitching out in some games.

Dont really like the games automatic settings thing. Geforce Experience reccomends me to run fc4 everything on low, i have it on high and run it at 50isch fps.

I like it for installing drivers (i think this is part of gfe), nice and easy to use.

@Massa9

I had to reinstall it once so shadow play would work but it only took three minutes too

-shutdown l4d2

-shutdown steam

-uninstall GFE

-reinstall GFE

-start seam

-start l4d2 and get back in the match I was in

so I don't really mind it much

I find it very useful when I'm setting games up for other people, particularly on low-end PCs. I don't have the time or inclination to get the best graphics-performance on my mum's GTX 840m.

It's never going to replace maxing everything at first and then gradually dialling it back until it's playable for me, but that's because I actually care.
