first off, i believe its internet plan/provider??

wifi is just the means with which you use it by. 

 

anyway, i dont know myself, basically the best plan is just move to europe. they have insane speed internet for cheap.

or somewhere in the US with google fibre. (amazing deal, especially their middle tier option)

depends on where you live

 

4G is extremely fast but the data caps are horrendous compared to a fixed line plan

There's also fixed wireless (part of the NBN) which at it's peak can do 25 down/5 up in terms of speed

Most places have ADSL2+ but in some cases the exchange might not be enabled for it so you'll just get regular ADSL instead

Go to the NBN site and see if it has been rolled out in your area then you can get 100/40 unlimited data from TPG for $90

If you mean mobile internet instead of wifi, then all the mobile carriers have 4G data only plans, although Vivid Wireless (now owned by Optus) has better value plans though not true 4G currently.

 

I think Telstra is considered the fastest, but it will depend a lot on the main area you are using it.
