Yeah I get that, BUT...did you try the settings Tick Auto-Update & Tick Use BETA & Restart?!?

I selected beta and it started working.
Hard to tell if it's the client program having connection issues or the Origin server being down.

 

Apparently Beta is recommended as opposed to the 'stable' release?
