Rosewill Capstone or Corsair CX?

So, I got the Newegg deal for the Rosewill Capstone 750W, about 80 bucks IIRC, but I have found a deal to get the Corsair CX750 for about $73. Am I right in thinking I may as well return the Rosewill and go for the CX? Any angles I'm missing here?

It might be more power efficient but higher quality is a load of crap

The Capstone is gold, whereas the CX is bronze--this is true. Think that's worth the ten dollar or so difference?

How would you like it if your PSU blows up or something?

Some people always assume Rosewill is a horrible brand.

Take a look at their Hyperboreas fans, their great for their price.

Ignore numbers, stick to bullet points. Wattages are different, the CWT platform in the 600W isn't massively worse than the 750W model but is worse (see below from the awesomely expert PSU guy.)

Not saying they're a bad brand, although the I haven't heard the best about them. I'm just saying I have an old corsair PSU that has lasted me 6 years now

K that's great, corsair doesn't make psu's, so yours could be better than CX. And the capstone is great.

So? Just because the PSU you have is good and from Corsair doesn't mean that Corsair is always a good brand. Take a look at RM.

Ignore numbers, stick to bullet points. Wattages are different, but the same CWT platform is used for the 750W model.

The 750w model is actually based on a different platform (modified DSA-III vs PUQ-B ), in which is a superior mid-range platform.

Of course, you and the others are correct in saying that the Capstone is the better unit.

Thank you very much for your input everyone. I'll stick with the Rosewill, I think, since I already physically have it. I'd have to return it to Newegg and then go get the CX750 if I wanted to switch anyway. It's very good to hear it's got quality parts.
